Our Story
Hi! My name is Talia and I am the founder of Cookiesforthesoul along with my amazing mom Naomi!
Together, we started this business 2 years ago, and its been so fulfilling to watch our baby grow!
For as long as I can remember, my passion in life was FOOD and DESSERT, especially cookies. I would plan trips and nights out around must visit restaurants and dessert spots to check out right after!
While I was in between jobs in the fashion industry out of college, I decided to start an Instagram blog on a whim. I ventured around NYC trying the latest food trends, finding neighborhood gems and baking my own homemade treats to share with friends.
I posted all my food and dessert photos accompanied by extremely informal reviews that speaks to foodies and non foodies alike. Food Network even reposted a video I took which was SURREAL!
To my surprise, my homemade cookies started to go viral. My messages were filled with inquiries on how to order them, and if the recipe was available.
With a big push from my mom, I decided to pursue my passion for food and dessert, and started Cookiesforthesoul. She taught me that there is no such thing as ‘no,’ and to be determined until you find the ‘yes.’
These past two years have been a total dream come true. At this point it’s hard to imagine our lives before all of this sweetness! The most rewarding part of this process is being part of a community of true foodies!
